I like beans ...

Post by BDR »

Lima beans are probably my favorite, but beans in general are a satisfactory side dish for any meal, whether it's a sit-down affair or a back yard picnic.

thoughts?

Personally, I like green beans. And how about Mr. Bean? British comedy rules!

beans make me burp from an opening. I like beans but they are rather unfriendly. Well, so are beancounters, come to think of it.

when i was a kid i didnt like vegetables very much its funny when you get older how your tastes change, beans are very versitale in cooking, salads, or by themselves just the other day i made a three bean chili with kidney, black, and northern beans and also garbonzo beans or chick peas are awesome on salads, in soups, and one of my favorite snacks, hummus, take three cans of garbonzo beans, one teaspoon minced garlic, half cup lemon juice, half cup olive oil, one tablespoon tahini(sesame butter) and salt and or pepper to taste, then if you want you can add hot peppers or other herbs and spices just put in a food processor or blender and mix till smooth, you may need to add a little water if its to thick about a half cup or so, then chill and serve with crackers, tortilla chips or use as a spread on sandwiches, there you go theres my rockpage recipe of the day

If you boil a bean bag chair, is that like a huge one of those boiling bag dinners? Could you rip it open and pour it over toast?

And speaking of bean bag chairs, you know that embarrassing sound that sometimes occurs when you shift around on a leather couch? Do people just expect that sound from a bean bag chair?

I'm Irish. It's Ham, Green Beans, and Potatoes. Oh, and Hobo Beans... my wife makes those SO good. I just recently discovered Black Beans, definitely dig those. Gotta quit "puttin' on my game face" before getting on this site.----->JMS

I prefer black beans, especially Bush's. How about lentils? Similar to beans, and a quality carb source as well.
