Jam situation

Post by HurricaneBob »

Big thanks to the bands who signed up for Rockpage summer jam. Hope to make this a memorable event. It took me awhile to get a lineup, for those who would not even donate there time remember Rockpage has done alot for your bands, it brought us all together, gave you new fans, a schedule so they can see where your playing. Also thanks for the bands who replied and then couldnt make it, means alot. If you use this board i hope atleast some of you come out for the jam session. I guess some just wont play for free anymore....... Help us out by printing some flyers.

Starting here, lets get a jam situation going, some songs, whos wants to jam with who and the what not. Id love to do some heavy stuff, just for old times...thoughts?

If I remember correctly, JP once posted he was inspired , as a kid , to learn Hocus Pocus ( by Focus ) on the accordian. [ I could be wrong, sometimes I read these threads late at night ]. And you ( Hurricane ) once posted it as a song you'd like to cover someday.

You and JP ! What a jam ! How 'bout it JP ? Still got that accordian ?

HUrricane, thanks for putting this rockpage show together. Looking forward to seeing all these bands.

Actually, Hawk, I was inspired by hearing "Hocus Pocus" because it had an accordion in it. I never actually learned it. (I did learn a few rock'n'roll songs at the time, much to the chagrin of my accordion teacher, who wanted me to stick with polkas.)

There is still an accordion or two around my house. But like me, they'll have to have the rust removed before they'll sound good again, lol!

Kent from Grimm here.....

Everybody in Grimm would be MAJORLY into participating in the open jam! During the last benefit, it seemed like a lot of us never got the chance to get up and do the the improv thing. My suggestion: Why don't we put the player's names in hats and randomly pu tto gether some acts....that way, everybody gets a chance to jam.

Just my two cents....majorly looking to this show!
