I wanted to report this separately from the other "music death" thread, because he had an impact on this area's music scene for many years...
"Big Jim" Dickson passed away on Monday. According to the online obituary (link posted below), he would have celebrated his 54th birthday on Wednesday (Feb. 24).
Jim ran sound around the area for a number of years. I always looked forward to chatting with him at shows, and he was a genuinely nice guy with a heart as big as his stature. He also was a professional wrestler for a while.
