Hello Everyone,
Here is the recap of the December 6 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.
This week, we welcomed back on the "Homegrown Rocker" airwaves our most frequent-flyer guest, the "Slide Ruler," Sterling Koch! Another year, another album, as Sterling introduced us to his latest solo album, Rock Slide. We discussed the album and its creation, and heard songs from it! Since we are into the holiday season and Sterling has issued two Christmas-themed CD's during his career, parts of the program became "All-Sterling Radio," including a "Local Music Flashback" to a track from his 2000 Acoustic Christmas CD! Along the way, we debuted a brand new song from Pittsburgh greats The Granati Brothers, updated "Local Music News," and reviewed Strait & Miller's Steal My Soul CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"
