Hello Everyone,
Here is the recap of the August 23 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.
Thanks to this week's guest via phone, Philadelphia-based singer and songwriter Liz de Lise (www.lizdelise.com)! We met Liz and learned her story, and heard tracks from her latest EP, To & Fro, plus heard her insight on the songs, based on the stories of street people in Portland, Oregon! Along the way, we debuted new songs from Joe Newtz and Donovan Rice & the Standing Cinema. We also updated "Local Music News," and dug a 1991 number by State College's Code: Blue from the archive for this week's "Local Music Flashback."
