Fake Band Album Generation

Post by Colton »

This came up on this reddit post, and here's a copy/paste of the text. Give it a try and post your results. You can upload your image to many hosting sites, like imgur.com
I swear to god he got started with this old "Imaginary Bands" social game:
1 - Go to "wikipedia." Hit "random" or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2 - Go to "Random quotations" or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
3 - Go to flickr and click on "explore the last seven days" or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4 - Use photoshop or similar to put it all together.
Edit: Glad you're all having fun with this.
Edit2: For those of you without Photoshop, back 6 or so years ago when I did it we used paint or one of those browser based paint programs. Its supposed to be silly so don't worry about needing filters and layers and what have you.
Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.

Now if you could program a macro that would do all of that for us, Colton, you'd be the most epic person on Rockpage.

I can't get the photo part to work out, but the band is Littlemore Railway Station, and the first album title is Honest and True, You Will Succeed. The photo I got shows a mountain lake.

I was hoping for something more entertaining and less realistic.
