Hello Everyone,
Here is the recap of the April 6 edition of Rocky 104.9 and Rocky 99's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WRKY-FM (www.rocky1049.com) and WRKW-FM (www.rocky99.com). The show can also be streamed via either Rocky website, www.rocky1049.com or www.rocky99.com.
With our originally-scheduled guest interview falling through, we used the opportunity to get caught up on new local and regional recordings that arrived at “Homegrown Rocker” headquarters in recent weeks. That meant lots of new music on this week’s show; we debuted new songs from Eric Husick, Blues Evolution, Wings That Buzz, Biscuit Jam, Ghost Of War, Thunder Vest, The Jawn and Modern Colour. We also updated “Local Music News,” dug a 1984 song by Philadelphia’s Teeze from the archive for this week’s “Local Music Flashback,” and we reviewed Lady Beast’s self-titled CD in “The Professor’s CD Corner!”
