The pure beauty of that movie can't be fully appreciated unless you experienced a real band situation, and then realize how close to reality some of the capers in Spinal Tap are.

Same with the TV show "WKRP in Cincinnati" - Any radio insider will tell you that although WKRP was a sitcom, it wasn't far from the reality of the craziness that can happen in actual radio station situations!
