Where did you play New Years Eve?

I filled in with my old band "White Shadow" at the Belwood Eagles.

We (The Backyard Rockers) played at Salsa's Mexican Grill in Bedford, part of a live music/comedy/open mic setting. We had a good time, met some new musical friends and won some new fans.

Great time at The Gettysburg Eagles. We got there at 3PM to setup and do soundcheck. The event started at 6 pm with a 3 course dinner, then a cashbash, we played 9 PM til 1 AM. Spent the night at Motel 6.

I played to a sold out, standing room imaginary audience in my basement. Actually not even that. I was checking my eyelids for holes by midnight.

I ended up drinking champagne straight out of the bottle at midnight.

I've always found champagne from the bottle to be somewhat explosive.

We were in the Ramada's Tropical Courtyard; stone floor, 2 and a half stories lined with glass. Imagine playing through 2 PAs at once, with one of them only playing a phase-incoherent reverb on a slightly-less-than-musical predelay, with the whole thing a little bit louder than the dry PA. It's kinda of like playing football in the rain. It's tough, it's uncomfortable, but everybody is soaked so it's a pretty good time anyway.
