Guitar instrumental #2

Post by old Skool »

Just finished recording another instrumental tune. Different flavor to it than my first tune "Drive". Really having a ton of fun with recording, just wish I could find more time. Check out the new song "The Fall". Thanks!

Sounds great! I like how it kind of sneaks up on you with the acoustic intro. You're getting some great guitar tones down. Still tracking with the little Blackstar?

Nice work Kenny. It has that 80s Shrapnel Record feel that I dig so much. Both songs have hints of Satch and Larry Mitchell to my ears plus your own vibe. Cheers!!!

Hey thanks guys. Yep used the Blackstar HT-5 again (in fact this was Jason's old amp-thanks dude, think you left some mojo in it). Just straight into the Blackstar and thru a Mesa 1x12 Recto cab with a Vintage 30. Added a little delay from the G-Force afterwards. Pretty happy with that little amp, just need something with a tighter, more modern tone for some other ideas I have.

Man I should have bought that Soloist off of you. Sometime Kris isn't looking it just may disappear. Your old Model 5 has a ton of mojo. You'll have to see it sometime, people can't believe that guitar is 26 years old. I did a few mods to it (pickups, Floyd, etc) & it's just a killer, go to guitar.

I will distract him. Haha!!! When the Lamb with the Black Hand touches a guitar it's never the same. Haha!!!
I actually believe that though. Guitars carry a little bit of their owners. Good and bad. I've had guitars that I could never get the feel for. And I usually bought them from assholes.

I could'nt agree more. That Soloist has some serious Mojo to it. I have never felt that comfortable with a guitar. And Jason....... NOTHING CAN DISTRACT ME FOR THAT LONG !!!!! HAHA!!........ sorry Kenny

I still think old sKool needs to pick up a Flying V.

I don't know about a V but those Charvel Star models are really growing on me. Really digging some of the new Charvel models coming out next month as well. So many guitars, so little money!!! Of course if I steal that Jackson off of Kris I don't have to worry about the money part!!!

Thanks Chad, really appreciate it dude. Finally getting to put that SM57 to work! Got a bunch more ideas & hoping in the next week or two to get some time to record them.
