Crowbar Band Battle

Post by ASB10 »

Just wondering how the event was.....I know some local bands are in it, Ledny was there, and I see wisker biscuit is there tonight...third standard put in all of our info, whether we will be in it or not is unknown right now...just wanted to get some feed back on how the event was so far, and I notice that there are some bands from way out of the area involved, so if anyone has any info....spread it around

we THE RUDYS played there last monday the 7th it was a freakin' blast just to say that you got to play on a stage that some of your favorite bands played on but as for crowd attendance you really need to take your own crowd with you to even have a chance. there was like 50 or 60 people there throughout the night but like i said most of were which the bands brought with them and themselves. the coolest thing of it all was networking with the other bands made some new friends talked about swapping shows, it was freakin' cool.

i got one more thing to say the f@#$ing sound rocks ass there!!!
hope this helped you out.

Playing the battle of the bands is a great opportunity. The battle is actually an open audition for bands who may get the chance to play the Crowbar's fall line-up. This works better than the Crowbar weeding through tons of press packets.

Here's the downfall...On a Monday, classes at Penn State are out, and the crowd votes. So, if you want to win...rent a bus, car pool, etc...bring your own fans. It may be hard for an out-of-town band to win playing against a local band.

Lost Ledny had a great time. Got interviewed by two local newspapers, sold a few cd's to new fans, networked with other bands, and lastly...got to show the Crowbar what the guys would bring if they get booked.

Good luck...it's fun!
