That is a great song...
In all seriousness: What do you all think about the Mayan Cycle ending? It is kinda funny to see all the people getting ready for it. Just like they did with the Y2K scare...

It was actually 500 days because the Mayans didn't take into account leap year. Then how could they. It wasn't around back then. But either way, you still have people thinking the world will end on December 21. 2012. Which is funny to watch ..PanzerFaust wrote:Didn't they discover like a year ago that the original calculations were off by like 50 years????
and if I remember correctly they weren't even sure if it was 50 years plus or minus ?????

Yeah, seeing as how they didn't foresee the coming of Cortez, I'm a little less inclined to believe that they foresaw the end of the world.Larry wrote:Since the Mayans are no longer around, it seems their world ended way before this date.
From what I understand, December 21st is just the date that their calendar turns over. The world doesn't end whenever we hit 11:59 on December 31st.
I'm playing a gig in Fannettesburg that night. For some reason, I doubt that the rapture is going to happen there. *lol*

The forecast for central PA:
Rapture warning in effect from the National Weather Service, with scattered earthquakes, volcanoes and tornadoes throughout the listening area. Molten asphalt road surfaces will make travel conditions difficult. High temperature of 830 degrees, with high winds making it feel like 1004.
Tomorrow's forecast: Nothing, since the world will be gone. Have a nice evening, and thanks for listening.
(I actually did a forecast like this on Ed Sherlock's AM station in New York state last year, when the last rapture was being predicted. Ed got a howl out of it; it aired all throughout the New York Yankee game!)

I have a friend who's an atheist and started a business with some people. Their service? They will take care of Christian's pets after the Rapture happens, seeing as they won't be ascending to Heaven because they're nonbelievers. And yes, I'm serious. This is an actual business they have.

IIRC, they contract with people before the Rapture so they're paid in advance to judgment day.f.sciarrillo wrote:bassist_25 wrote:I have a friend who's an atheist and started a business with some people. Edit: I went and found the webpage. Apparently they're no longer around due to lack of clientele, but you can still check out the website: http://eternal-earthbound-pets.com/
