I am digging Scott Devine. His tutorials are pretty good... The concept of shapes have been around for a while now. I first learned about them from George Lynch, as that is how he plays as well. From what he says, it makes it easier to remember where the notes are when you are rushed.

And I said it once before, and I will say it again - I love the blues scale ...

If not, should'a been. Kirk could'a pummeled them (Via laser) into submission on their apparent hard line on the blues "scale" issue.

Ahh, it's just a penatonic scale with a chromatic note between the 4th and 5th degrees. :P

I have always like the sound of that scale when you play the octave of the blue note also, gives is something extra (besides another note) :-)
