Looking for a Drummer and Bass Player for an Acoustic Band

Post by Mysterytrain »

I'm tossing around the idea of an acoustic band. Nothing too serious but still tight and tasty. :D

I need to find a drummer and a bass player. Vocals would be a plus.

Ya kinda need to be available on weekdays and/or weekends. Mostly local shows at first but possibly some out-of-town gigs, too.

I'd like to find a solid, play-in-the-pocket type drummer. Good with brushes would definitely be a plus. And, some hand drumming would be great too.

Also, looking for a bass player. Upright bass would be a plus but not necessary.

Guest musicians may sit in at times. Guitar, harp, keys, hand drums etc.

Setlists will be creative and have our own twist to the tunes. Plenty of improv jamming throughout evening. Folk tunes, train/prison songs, old timey stuff and more.

Send me a message and I can go over more details if you are interested.

Thanks RP'ers!

Hi, I like your bands style. The tie dye is great. I don't know about your ages but I'm 58, child of the 60's. I play a Hofner bass. Bought it new in '73, been playing it ever since. I also do vocals. I just don't know about the distance here. I'm in Lock Haven, Pa.. Are you based in Altoona? I have many years experience. The band I was in just disbanded a couple months ago.

Quite a haul

dsteven - Lock Haven is quite a haul for not a lot of pay. I'd prefer to find people close to 'toon town.

Great to hear from you though.
