Gay muscicians
I noticed a post about pride on here. I hadn't heard of many out musicians locally. Are there a lot of gays playing in local bands? Are band people more or less accepting of gay people? I hadn't thought of it before and that post made me wonder.
Hippocampus will rock the party.
I'm not sure, but I once knew this guy who said he knew "The Underground" of the Rockpage scene. His name was "Evil Al" and he told me he was "One Brick Shy" of a load. He told me he had a couple of "Bad Daze" on the the "Sunset Strip" and they were "Crazy Nights". He told me a story about how he met a guy who said "2nd Street" was way "Off Limits", but he used a special "Assault_Method" to assert his "Bad Influnce". He said he "Hogtied" the guy and with "Rapid Fire" in "Full Throttle" mode, he made "A Beautiful Mess" "Without Warning" all over the guys "Backyard Rocker". He said the guy was "Screamin' Ugly".
After the story, he looked at me and said, but I'm now looking for "A Faster Ride". I said to myself, "Whatz Next"! and ran away like I was on "Borrowed Time".

If you're talking about the PRIDE benefit, I think your are a little confused, but honestly, so was I when I saw it. This non-profit should consider a name change.

you can prick your fingure, but never fingure your.............get your mind outta the gutter.
I shouldn't make light of an important human rights issue, so I will note a couple of Harvey Milk quotes:
"I ask for the movement to continue, for the movement to grow, because last week I got a phone call from Altoona, Pennsylvania, and my election gave somebody else, one more person, hope. And after all, that's what this is all about. It's not about personal gain, not about ego, not about power — it's about giving those young people out there in the Altoona, Pennsylvanias, hope. You gotta give them hope."
"Gay brothers and sisters,... You must come out. Come out... to your parents... I know that it is hard and will hurt them but think about how they will hurt you in the voting booth! Come out to your relatives... come out to your friends... if indeed they are your friends. Come out to your neighbors... to your fellow workers... to the people who work where you eat and shop... come out only to the people you know, and who know you. Not to anyone else. But once and for all, break down the myths, destroy the lies and distortions. For your sake. For their sake. For the sake of the youngsters who are becoming scared by the votes from Dade to Eugene."
If there were any Rockpagers who wanted to come out in this thread, carry on. I am sure you will find general acceptance. And don't worry, Tood only wants to beat me with a bat. He'll still be nice to you.

I don't personally know any local musicians who are gay, but I don't think it matters at all. I couldn't possibly care less what a person's sexual orientation is, what they look like, what their politics are, what religion they follow, or whether they squeeze the toothpaste tube from the bottom or the middle. It's the music that matters.

Gay, Straight, Black, White, Christian, Jewish, Native American, Islamic, doesnt matter to me. If you can sing/play and are a good friend/bandmate, you will never have a problem with me. I doubt Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon even cared about Freddie's sexual orientation once they heard him sing.
Videos destroyed the vitality of rock and roll. Before that, music said, "Listen to me." Now it says, "Look at me."
