I dusted off my synth and tried it thru one of my EV Sxa360 PA cabs and it sounds great! So I rehashed this old idea of converting an EV SB120a powered subwoofer into a powered guitar cabinet by bypassing the crossover circuit and putting an EVM12L guitar speaker in it. I already have a little EV guitar monitor with an EVM12L and it sounds huge for a little plastic wedge. The port on the SB120a should sound much bigger. I will stack the SB120a on top of the Sxa360:

Do you think it will sound like an open back, only with the sound coming out the front? I'm interested to hear your thoughts.
