Need SANSamp bass DI

Post by hicksjd9 »

My father-in-law is looking for a sansamp bass DI. He has $100 to spend. Anyone have one lying around that they don't need?

Thanks, man. I'll definitely keep an eye out for this.

I'm not sure what he's going to use the SansAmp for, JD, but if it's for tube emulation, I'd really recommend the VT pedal from Tech21's Character Series. I always felt that the Bass Drivers were major tone suckers, even when bypassed; but when I tried the VT in a true bypass loop, the only difference I found with the VT's buffered bypass is that it added a smidge of highs (which isn't a bad thing, IMO).

However, if he's looking to use the BDDI for it's DI, the VT Deluxe has one, but you're not going to touch one for $100 used.

I've never used the Eden, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. Of course, it's going to give you the clean, hifi Eden sound rather than the overdriven tube sound of the SansAmp.

He just needs it so his bass doesn't sound like crap when it's run directly into the mixing board. A decent amp emulation would be awesome.
