Looking to start something completely off the wall

Hello readers, we are two guys looking to start an alternative rock band in the central PA area - specifically in the Altoona/State College/Johnstown region.

I am a vocalist, with some pretty damn good skills, and my friend knows how to play bass and drums. We are looking for a guitarist, a drummer or bass player depending on what feels right and what my friend wishes to play, and possibly a keyboard player.

We're looking to start something that's vastly different from everything that is on the local scene at the moment, something original.

We have influences from the genres of Alt. Rock, Punk, Hard Rock, Metal, Industrial, Funk, and even Techno. Some of our major influences include but are not limited to: The Offspring, Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Guns N' Roses, Dead Kennedy's, Old school Green Day, Enter Shakari, NIN, KMFDM, Modest Mouse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against, Rage Against the Machine, and System of a Down/Serj Tankian.

What genre/bands are you best at singing? I play bass and can do vocals for songs from bands such as Disturbed, Metallica and Rob Zombie. My friend plays guitar and can do songs from bands such as Red Hot Chillie Peppers, The Offspring and Matchbox 20, we're looking for a drummer and possibly an other vocalist to widen what songs we can cover.
