Downloaded it on Emusic. It is a killer. Production is steller. New vocals are great too.

Udo's gone? Bummer! I was just listening to Accept a week ago... who else can sing, "WRITE A LETTER! YOU'LL FEEL BETTER! WRITE A LETTER, YOU"LL FEEL BETTER WHEN IT'S DOOOONE!!!" ...And you're throwing the horns in the air and banging your head.
I saw then on the Balls To The Wall tour, and Udo was like a troll-doll dressed in East German camo, stalking the stage, all of four-foot-nine, and you couldn't understand a single word he said between songs, but you knew you wouldn't eff with him, somehow.
Seriously, Udo had one of those metal voices that forced you to pay attention, all business. Furious, manaical business. Listen to London Leatherboys, or Turn Me On, or Fast As A Shark. Somebody should cover Fast As A Shark, it slams!

songsmith, you might want to check out Udo's solo project, UDO. I haven't heard any of their material personally but I hear it's like the old Accept stuff.

And I believe Holy Grail covers Fast as a Shark...at least that's what I think they were playing when I saw them. I was right in front of the sub so I can't be sure of anything they played haha

I spent an hour on Youtube yesterday watching clips from a 1995 show in Copenhagen... Udo doesn't hit ALL the hard notes, but hey, I couldn't 20 years ago, so there you go. The band, however, was crack-a-lackin', the guitarist was really fleshing out all those dramatic, Teutonic-inspired riffs. Accept always had that minor-key tension, even when they were in a major key, and kind of clanky and ominous, like a hydraulic press in a factory somehwere that doesn't care if your fingers are under it.
I need a new copy of Metal Heart.
