Gilbert & Sheehan are a force to be reckoned with. This makes me quite happy in the pants!

Wow. I was suprised. Has a modern feel to it and Eric Martin rips it up as always.

Not a bad tune either. I'm exited to hear more from them.

Wow...very tasty & mature riffing!! The solo was great...no "hey, look at me" sound to it...it fit the song well, especially with the Sheehan bass part.
I'm a big fan of both for their abilities, and it seems like they took a step back to see less can more sometimes.
I may actually get this...

I see what you're getting at LOL. I've read other guitarists using the term tasty and thought I'd try my hand at it...FAIL.

I'm guessing he meant the "mature riffing" part.

Nah RFBuck, you're description was right on. Tone was correct. Ted Nugent once was asked why he parted ways with Derek St. Holmes and he said "because Derek wanted to progress into a more mature sound, and I think rock n roll should sound like a 15 year old kid turned loose in dads garage with the amp maxxed out". I kinda roll with that school of thought. I really would be just as excited to hear they were releasing some new pat boone. Unless it was that Metal album he did, that was unfuckwithable.

I appreciated the whole groove and vibe. His riffing set up the song, and the leads, which like I said before weren't about how many notes he can play.
When you hear the rhythm for "scarified" you know what's coming.
Actually, I thought the rhythm was rather Dokken-ish...which I have no complaints about.

Scarified is a cool song. I would like to learn how to play it, but it would take me years to get it right lol .

I'm a member of another site where you can post your recordings. There's a guy on there who actually does play "scarified" and almost to the note. The guy's phenomenal, but he chooses to do nothing with his talent but write his own music and record...which is perfectly alright. I always look forward to his stuff when he posts it.
