Is there anyone out there who wants to start an all original band? I've played in cover bands for the last 10 years and I would like to try something different now. I am 32 and live near Stoystown. It would be great to find some local musicians around my age, but I'll travel if I have to. I'm open to most styles of music, but I would like to create something unique sounding as well. I can write guitar, bass, and drum parts very well, but I don't seem to have any ability to write lyrics. Some bands and artists that influence me a lot are 311, Tool, Sublime, Pantera, Alice In Chains, Big Wreck/Thornley, Zakk Wylde, Nuno Bettencourt, Rush, Skindred, Chili Peppers, The Police, Pearl Jam, Genesis, The Outlaws, The Mars Volta, and too many more to list. I have excellent equipment and practice space also. If anyone is interested or needs a guitar player for an existing original band, let me know.
