What everyone isnt taking into account is, he was well known for dabbling into various drugs. When you do lots of stuff like that..how could it be a shock? Even with Peter Steele I feel the same way. He was also well known for his alcohol and cocaine habits. In the end, it wasnt really a shock.
Alot of the band guys abuse substances, they should know its a risk to health....and living. Just because they are "big rock stars" doesnt meant they HAVE to do the stereotypical "rockstar thing". Im still pissed off at Peter Steele for being such an asshole and doing things to shorten his existence here.

About Slipknot, I loved their self titled record. they were very original then. everything afterwards just wasnt my thing at all.

Yes But Remember

Post by Imgrimm01 »

Keith a point to think about , there is a level of blame that should be considered when an addict passes , In 2010 do any of us really go into anything not knowing the risks ? McDonalds Cheeseburgers, Cigarettes , Alcohol , and on and on , the jury is certainly not still out on health risks and most of us step up and take a few every day , but at the end of the day when someone leaves this world Expectedly or by surprise the rest of who love them are left behind to deal with the loss, and no matter what we know that person was they were ours to feel how we feel and mourn how we see fit. Today Paul's mother and father are in pain NO MATTER WHAT HE WAS to the world , He was their son , Remember to the world were all just a person but to some people were the world !
I'm glad I didn't have to fight in a war, I'm glad I didn't get killed or kill somebody, I hope my kids enjoy the same lack of manhood

I certainly know what you mean. I agree with your post 100%. I wasnt downplaying the severity of it. I didnt mean it to come off like that.
I smoke too many cigs...when I die of cancer, it wont be a surprise. Not to me, not to anyone. It was a choice I made. I know the health risks of smoking, but I still do it. Which is STUPID. Id love to quit, but I havent been able to. In the end, if I wanted to live a long life, I wouldnt do the things that shorten life.

Think of it like someone playing russian roulette. If they keep pulling the trigger, one day its gonna fire. how could anyone be shocked? they were firing a gun at their head...what did they expect?

We all make our choices, and we either live with them, or we die from them. Such is the way of life. This man has apparently inspired many before his body succumbed to the things that he died from

Yeah, he's so burned out that he rambles and makes no sense in interviews. He was always douchey, but now he's a douche that can't keep a stready train of thought.

Scott Weiland's another one whom I'm surprised hasn't taking the 10:30 express to the mortuary.

Who cares? All my friends were in to Slipknot back in 2002, I thought then and I still do that they suck. If he left family behind I feel sorry for them but , especially if drugs killed him, fuck it.

How old are you seeder? You seem a little immature. This site is sort of for grown-ups.

There's been a new development. A hypodermic needle and a bottle of pills were found with him...

With all the problems and death that comes with using hard drugs...why do people continue to use or try it?? Alot of people cant afford neat little rehab facilities, but he could have....
If you know someone thats using hard drugs, please please please get them help ASAP. Tons of addicts die everyday that arent fortunate enough to have a famous name that is loved by millions. Does that make them worth any less? NOT AT ALL. Dont wait until its too late.

Did anyone see the press conference with the members of Slipknot?? Joey Jordinson had a rough time, so did Jim Root. For all of their stage theatrics and heavy, heavy sound, they are only human. RIP Paul Gray.
Pour me another one, cause I'll never find the silver lining in this cloud.
