Another great singer passes

Post by SATAN »

Ronnie James Dio passed away this morning. It really sucks that two of my favorite singers died in the past month. Who the hell is next, OZZY?

I saw the report on Blabbermouth.net

RIP DIO

We was world class talent,he sang like no other. He was a member of some of the most influential bands of all time Rainbow,Black Sabbath and his solo band Dio. He will be greatly missed. There is now a huge void in not only the metal community but of all musical communities. Long Live The Man On The Silver Mountain Who Is Now The Light In The Black!!!!!!!!!!!

R.I.P.

He was one of the greatest and by all accounts one hell of a guy too. Even to this day there aren't many that can sing like he did...RIP

Loved his voice especially on songs like "Man on the Silver Mountain" and the "Holy Diver" lps. Despite his size, his voice was a big as a mountain and undenibly one of the best in the halls of heavy metal. Distinctive and creative, he was a master of bringing his love for magical creatures and medival fantasy. One of the MONSTERS OF ROCK has gone but never, never to be forgotten. RIP RJD

Just finished watchin on YouTube the "Hear-n-Aid song "We're Stars" the project Ronnie set up for heavy metal's answer to "We are the world".
He wrote and produced the song and had so, so many other rock stars of the 80s. God, Blackie Lawless, Yngwie Malsteem, the late Kevin DuBrow of QR. Bands such as Dokken, Guiffuira?? and so many others. Defintely shed a tear on that one and have no shame in saying so
