I live a bit to far from you, have a few to many kids and work a few too many jobs to jam with you, but check this out if you get the chance man.

Don't bum out. Finding like minded musicians can be difficult. Adding to the difficulty is finding like minded blues musicians.felix'apprentice wrote:nothin.
We have been fortunate several times in having young musicians from other genres come up and say how much they like what we're doing. At our last gig a guy was saying how much he was enjoying the music, then he ask if we were doing covers. Yes, they were all covers. He just never heard any of them. Straight up blues is a hard sell. Both to other musicians and to pubs / bars / clubs. It takes patients.

step outside the blues kla, its ok. its not selling out to play other stuff, thats silly! playing other stuff will make you a better player, more rounded, you r blues is in your heart, it aint going anywhere, you have a long journey ahead of you, i know you love the blues, don't piegon-hole your talent to just blues, theres lots of good stuff out there, check it all out, play everything and anything you can! good luck!felix'apprentice wrote:its so hard not to get bummed. i really wanna play. i finally have the confidence and the leads and havent caught a break.Hawk wrote:Don't bum out.
