I hear you Flaw. I took more outside time today than I have in over a month. It was so nice out. But, we do need to pay at least a moderate amount of attention to our "elected officials." Especially in such volatile times. If not, the life we claim to have (as in "i have a life") may no longer be ours to own.Flaw wrote:something is going on on tv...i wouldn't know its 70 degrees out and i have a life.
Rob - The Capitol Hill crew has been lying to our faces for generations. Every time a politician opens their pie hole it is more than safe to say at least one lie is about to spew forth. I've witnessed it for about 40 years. Today was not much different than decades ago. Only the speed and frequency of broadcasts of the lies has changed.
I will be paying close attention tomorrow. The vote really is a huge deal for the entire country. But I will also be paying some attention to the race, the BB brackets and hockey games.

Tangent alert...
Why do people treat the Founding Fathers as though they were these infallible super genii who were the acme of American intellectualism? Were they smart dudes? Indeed they were, but discounting later thinkers and scholars to reference the Founding Fathers on concepts that may be archiac just seems to me to be an appeal to authority. Read some of Thomas Paine's work. While I philosophically agree with most of his arguments, the cat's work is full of logical fallacies.
