If you're looking for something to do this weekend, you might go outside and toss one around in the snow in his honor.
Frisbee inventor R.I.P.
Great memories tied to the Frisbee for me.
As a neighborhood kid we would play Frisbee touch football regularly. Wow, makes me happy to think about those days.
My father-in-law loved to play Frisbee. I was a regular on weekends on summer days, and the old man would wear me down. He has long since passed away. Pap, I miss you!

hi yeah I saw that . I remember quite well in the mid to late 60's when the frisbee made its debut . It provided a lot of fun for a lot of people on the beach in particular. I remember it being first thrown in the 60's by kids from altoona for the first time at the beach at glendale lake when the beach was so packed with people , you couldn't move. This was before raystown and canoe creek even existed. there would be 20 thousand people at the glendale beach on a weekend .it was unbelievable and the frisbee was the big deal in addition to meeting and partying with people from all over the region. they had at least 10 full time life gurads 7 days a week that worked shifts . it was a great time to be a teen ager
