I been listening to Floyd for years. Gilmour is the reason I picked a guitar up. They are one of those groups where the older I get and the more I listen to the more I like them. They are in my opinion the best band ever ...
Meddle is another good one from them .. One of these days, Echoes, and Seamus. Great, just great ..

Gilmour is a prime example of not needing distortion, three chord scales, or speed to be great ... He knows how to play and knows more than two chords ...gosteelers wrote:never here a big fan of floyd, some their stuff was interesting but could never head bang to any it i think part of the problem for me is there was never an 'edge' to their music

i don't care how much money you make or don't make.. YOU are a professional musician! when you can pick up a "thing" with taut strings(ie a guitar) or strike taut skins with wooden sticks (drums) and make smthg out of it that's moves people's minds.. YOU have smthg very SPECIAL! a very special talent, one i wish I had. you should be very proud. not too many people can do that
