Bar owners and money,WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is, aparently, a new fad. How do we say it nicely- loser, disenchanted,lazy, prickish bar owners/ lackie ASS Managers seem to be going around to other bar owners disclosing the amount that they pay bands.

First of all let me get this out I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY BAND OR CLUB/BAR!!!!!!!!!!!!! My opinion is my own.

Two weekends in a row I saw this happen- a owner of a small hole in the wall dive, went to a club where a certain band is playing, got drunk- and/or stoned and starts talking shit.

1 - To asshole #1- sir, your club is full with 100 patrons in it - it also doesn't take as much equip. to play there. There for it doesn't cost as much. And 100 people is $500.00 at nights end

2 - Bands work HARD - sometimes years to build a following and they deserve their pay

3 - So this band is doing good and starting to play larger clubs for OBVIOUSLY more money. More patrons show up now so at 5 bucks a head for 200 people is HMMM $1,000.

4 - To asshole # 2Now since some loser had to go running his drunkin pie hole, your club only wants to pay what the loser, dive, shit stain club is paying. That extra five hundred buck your stuffing in your pocket certainly isn't going to club improvements or children's charities is it?

5 - Am I the only one that thinks that these people should be taken out back and shot? OK maybe a bit over the top but STILL probably the most effective way!

6 - The people who know me know I don't f@#K around. You either like me or you don't! And I don't care. I am probably going to lose a gig from writing this- not because it shouldn't have been said but because the guys in the band are very nice and do not want to make waves out there. I can't say that I blame them. BUT business is never hurting here.

7 - I quit playing a long time ago because of shit like this!

8 - AND PLEASE REMEMBER- I am not talking about EVERY bar owner, if you aren't one of these guys- don't take offense. But come on if this post offends you then you probably one of these guys. You know who you are and so do we!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does it really matter? Sure it is bullshit. Is the band planning at playing the smaller club in the future? My guess is that they are moving on to bigger and better things and the small club owner doesn't like it. If they really are doing well they will get paid what they are worth.
