I hope for the best even though I don't know him.
maybe just some hope for ya all, I had a good friend in an accident with head trama, I went every day to see him the first couple weeks, he finally came out of the coma but was out of it. after a little bit he seemed to get worse, they put a cage up around his bed cause he would just start rolling around, I started going a little less because it just felt so useless but still went a few times a week. after maybe 2 months I hadn't been there for a few days I walked in his room and he looked up and said "Hi Tony" like I just saw him the day before, he pretty much recovered fully but really settled back after that it changed his outlook but he's alive and well.
Hoping Wade pulls through just as well.

Don't bitch to me about the economy while you're still buying Chinese products.
In a similar case, Penn State Altoona presented Bob and Lee Woodruff a couple of weeks ago as part of their Distinguished Speaker Series.
Bob Woodruff, as you may recall, is the ABC news reporter who was seriously injured four years ago in a roadside bomb blast while covering the Iraq war. He suffered severe head trauma, and like Wade, had to have part of his skull removed and was placed under an induced coma. He was in the coma for 36 days, and suffered from expressive aphasia for a year afterward. This means that Bob had difficulty putting together words into cohesive thoughts, and could not access parts of his memory for a while. He has improved since, and is back to reporting full-time with ABC.
In the aftermath of his own experience, Bob starting his own foundation, The Bob Woodruff Foundation, which helps servicemen who have suffered similar head injuries.

I saw the Woodruff's at the PSU event. They are truly an inspirational couple - their story is incredible. Their organization is www.remind.org
Wade is in my prayers.
