Hello Everyone,
Here is the recap of the November 15 edition of Rocky 104.9's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 9 to 11 PM during Steelers football season.
Thanks to our guests this week, Keith Reynolds and Brian Stotler. Keith records area bands as Fourth Dimension Audio, and is collaborating with Brian on a new collective/indie recording project called Major-Minor Recordings. The two discussed the respective projects, and we heard songs from several of the bands currently recording with Fourth Dimension Audio; including Nitekast, Ganister, A Voice of Chaos and Brian’s band The Side Effects. We also updated Local Music News, dug into the archive for a 1996 song by Upstream for a “Local Music Flashback,” and reviewed Pan.a.ce.a’s We the Broken CD in “The Professor’s CD Corner.”

Members of the bands White Shadow and The Boomers have collaborated on a new band that celebrates the Fab 4. Beatlemaniacs features Jerry Carnicella, Andy Rhody, Harry Young and Johann Von Schrenkel from White Shadow, along with Bob Helbig from The Boomers. The group performs a variety of Beatles favorites, and invites guest singers and musicians to sit in. The group performs at an Altoona venue this Thursday night starting at 8.
Latrobe’s Tony Mollick Project has announced that they are stepping away from regional stages, at least for the time being. The band members are pursuing other projects, and group namesake Tony Mollick continues to mend from a heart attack he suffered earlier this year.
