So tonight my daughter and grandson stopped by for a visit.

When they were leaving my grandson says to my wife, "Nana, I have a day off tomorrow". Cathy asks, "so what are you going to do" ?. Grandson answers matter of factly, "Go crazy".

I need a day off...just to go crazy.

Some of you have kids and grand kids. Any stories ?

What do dogs do on their day off? They can't lie around. That's their job. ---- G. Carlin

With three kids it was when they got up in the morning for school and I would tell them to get up in German! I would stomp up the steps and tell them to get up and then go into their room and shake them and tickle them.
Now my youngest which is 12 is mildly mentally retarded and he has a lot of fun with me in the morning when he gets up.
I never had that because my asshole father was never around.

The script was written, and the villian was cast. The provocation needed, they will provide. They did it before, they'll do it again.

My nephew is quite the same. He's handsome, smart, and a total deviant as well! Today (or yesterday, for you diurnal people), I was about to get my shower. Well, I heard commotion outside the door, so I checked. Everyone had gathered around a bedroom door, so I listened in a little. My nephew, smart as a whip, had locked everyone out of the bedroom! And I could see through the crack of the door that he was on a bed, bouncing and laughing, because he realized, "I just outsmarted the adults!" Well,... At least until he realized that adults have the power to knock the door in

Whenever I'm about to leave, he'll stand hanging out of the door, shouting "Uncle John, I love you!" every couple seconds until I'm no longer in visual range. The only time he doesn't is when he's preoccupied. He loves trains, trees, trucks, cars, and banging things. He loves the house dogs, and loves his family. Watching him be nuts (as long as he isn't driving me nuts) allows me to see that not everything is so dull and bad from the daily grind. It gives me some kind of hope that maybe we'll break the cycle of the mundanely wrong

to show how advanced little ones are these days, when asking my 3 year old niece what she wanted for Christmas, I quickly got the answer of " a pink cell phone and a pink DS".....WOW!!! I wouldn't think a 3 year old could grasp what these are, but I guess with three older siblings it shouldn't have surprised me!!
If you have an EGO, go look in the mirror, then you will realize you shouldn't.

My sister and her family just left for a visit to Florida. While on the airplane and watching the flight attendant go through the emergency procedures, my young nephew asked his Mom if he could keep the mask if the plane crashed.
