How about, What song / album is your favorite (just) today ?

Post by Hawk »

I couldn't pick a favorite song in the other thread because it could be different every day. I saw some others had the same problem.

Today it's kinda gloomy outside. The Beatles' Sargent Pepper is going in my car today. It just feels good. Today - It's my favorite.

A best of Derek Trucks cd that Randy burned for me. It was Randy's best pics he burned, I do not think Derek has a best of cd out there yet.

Great slide runs and very interesting rhythmic patterns.

The script was written, and the villian was cast. The provocation needed, they will provide. They did it before, they'll do it again.

Technical Ecstasy- Black Sabbath very underrated record. I love Iommi's tone on this album. Which is a precursor to his tone on Heaven and Hell.

Song: That riff from "Check My Brain" by Alice In Chains has been going through my head all afternoon, probably because Jim Rome used it for bumper music on his radio show.

Album: Outside of the current album I'm reviewing for this Sunday's "Rocker" (Pan.a.ce.a's We The Broken), I've been revisiting Judas Priest a lot lately, especially Unleashed In The East (still one of the best live metal albums of all time, IMO) and a Priest tribute album from 2000 called A Tribute to Judas Priest: Delivering the Goods Vol. II, featuring Priest classics redone by Gamma Ray, Devin Townsend, Udo, Virgin Steele, Saxon and bunch of more obscure metal bands.

What the hell is this .. What is your favorite MONTH?

I'd have to say Deep Purple Machine Head... I know it's old shit but when I dig it out and play it every year or so I think... Man that was some good shit.

7/4/89 Grateful Dead at Rich Stadium

A friend just let me borrow Grateful Dead's "Truckin' up to Buffalo" DVD. It's July 4th, 1989 at Rich Stadium. I also have the CD so I pulled that out on Tuesday and it's been in the deck since.

They closed that night with U.S. Blues.
Keep on keepin' on,
Dan

Currently listening to Iron Maiden's Wasted Years. I was listening to Cradle of Filth's Nymphetamine while on break at work today though. Music really goes day to day with me
