Hardtail Strat Body

Can anyone think of a brand that makes a hard tail strat?

I want one for a bass project, but the only ones I can find on ebay are either a couple hundred bucks, or plywood.

I figure someone must make a guitar with a hard tail strat body, Charvel or something maybe, but I have no idea what to search for.

I might eventually go with warmoth, but I'd prefer to get a finished body, I've resigned myself to having screw holes from the guitar bridge, but I'm much prefer one that isn't drilled for through-body stringing.

Ideally I'd like to spend as far under $100 as possible.

Might be worth contacting edenhaus.com or some other builder. They
probably NORMALLY set them up as string through, but if you ask them
not to, or if they even have any "seconds" around, could work out.

thanks, those are pretty decent prices on those bodies. I'd really like to get something cheap and already finished, just as proof of concept.

I have been waiting for rondomusic.com to get hardtail SSTs in for like a year, and they havn't, so I'm getting antsy

like I said, warmoth strat bodies are $145 for unfinished poplar, allparts and mighty mite don't even make hard tail strat bodies.

What I really want to know is the name of a guitar with a stratocaster body, and a hardtail bridge. Any brand whatsoever, I just want something to search for on ebay. Searching for "hardtail strat" yields me a couple unfinished bodies, a couple Robert Cray signature bodies, and a couple vintage strats. Not what I'm looking for at all.
