I lied, Beck couldn't be funny if he fell out of an airplane into a whoopee-cushion factory. His reaction to the choice of photos... priceless. Epic Media-whore Fail!
Time Magazine is not owned by News Corp, the parent company of Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, and most of the rest of the conservative media. They are not at the whims of foreign billionaire Rupert Murdoch, the far-right's version of George Soros.
I know, too f**king many political posts lately, but somebody had to counter all the usual FoxnTalker crap being spewed here lately.--->JMS

News Corp owns The New York Times and they are as liberal as you can get. Maybe looking up some information on Rupert Murdock would help you ?songsmith wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycUjUJnDnq8

Something else that is not being said is that Beck say's the truth and the big news is afraid of it ...
Music Rocks!

Okay, how best to say this... No. Beck says what benefits Beck. Beck says whatever appeals to people who don't want to have to look it up, they'd rather have it spoonfed to them. Rupert Murdoch is an Australian billionaire who owns the large majority of the national conservative media, and to characterize him in any other way is avoiding reality. I called him what he is: the conservative version of George Soros, a billionaire who spends huge sums furthering his propaganda. No pass for Fox News. It's partisan media, and the more partisan media becomes, the less actual truth you're going to see.--->JMS
Beck is funny, Beck is great, Beck is all the things you love to hate. How's that for stone cold rhymin'?
Come on! Who do you have, Olberman? What a stiff. And if you don't dig the partisan stuff, you have to slam Olberman just like you slam Beck.
Beck is asking good questions. Face it, we have a socialist in the White House. There's no way to refute that. His own words and positions support it. Now, the people have to decide if they want to support this president's socialist agenda. I say, NAY!

Again with the socialist crap. Isn't that a little old-hat? Doesn't that one fit in there with the "He's not really an American," or, "His middle name's Hussein?"
Beck is still far and away the least talented of the far-right-wing media bunch, and that's saying alot. He was marketed as a political comedian early on, and he's just not funny. Rush is a horrible waste of the airwaves politically, but he's sometimes funny. Hannity does nothing but hammer talking points until you've heard them so many times you recite them in your sleep, and he's still a better listen than Glenn Beck. He does the obligatory Obama rant, talks about how awesome it is to be a conservative and how evil liberals are... standard stuff, to be sure, they all do that, but he's booooooorrrrrrriiiinnggg and so completely full of his own ego that you just want him to shut up and let someone else talk. He's painfully corny, and I know corn.
Oh, and I don't really watch Olberman. You don't have to choose one or the other. I watch HistoryHD, HD Theater, and Discovery Science in HD mostly, since I got the 1080p. The HD upgraded cable is definitely worth it.--->JMS

Actually, Beck is Libertarian, and if you would have been listening to him while Bush was in office, you'd have heard him hammering on Bush for spending like a drunken sailor.
The socialist thing isn't old hat - People can't or won't see it.
Beck also worked for CNN, so the Rupert Murdoch stuff, that's old hat too.

i want an hd tv and the upgrade in cable. how awsome is discovery science in hd?
Oh, man. Even the logo down in the corner is impressive. I wish I'd done it awhile ago. I find myself watching shows I'd NEVER have watched before, especially classic car shows and nature shows. Now I have to get a blue-ray player and change formats on all my movies. Damn!

Re: tv
The hi-def stuff is getting pretty cheap. I could tell you I have the best unit out there, but the truth is, I bought a 37" Vizio at Wal-Mart of all places, for $600. I have a little background in media displays, and I picked the one with the best color saturation, instead of the biggest. I have a small TV room, and I'm only about 8 feet away from the screen, so it doesn't have to be big. Don't trust what you see at Wallyworld, they don't feed their display TV's with hi-def signal, so you won't get the true picture until you get HD programming into it, either cable, satellite, or over-the-air, or recorded on Blue Ray. The new Ken Burns National Parks series looks like it will be jaw-dropping in HD, and the Planet Earth series is visually very pleasing as well. Like I said, I love the musclecar auction shows, they amp up the colors, and it's awesome for a guy who grew up when high-school kids had '68 Camaro SS's and '70 Hemi 'Cudas.--->JMSzman1200 wrote:When the smoke rolls out the top or it just dont work any more we will get a new tv of course it will be last years model on cleareance.
