1963 Fender Bandmaster SOLD

Post by xero380 »

Someone gave this to me a few years back and as a drummer I am in no need of this...I know what it is worth Used and or New...mine is obviously going to be used so what offers can anyone give on this?

This one isn't the exact pic of mine but is identical...

Image

I only have the head for sale not the cabinet to go along with it but this is the only picture I could find on this.

Depending on working and cosmetic condition, a pre-CBS blonde blackface Bandmaster head is worth up to $1200, give or take. Generally, they go for around $800 or so. Its a big ballpark.

You need to test out something like this.

I know once tubes are replaced that it does work and sounds good also....I have Rick Wertz at the Emporium checking on tubes for this from Fender...as for price just give me some offers and we'll go from there. Serious inquiries only please.

Pristine condition with NOS tubes you would be lucky to get $800.00 Take into account the price of NOS tubes (New Old Stock forgot you were a drummer) and you will find it is not worth it.

My advice would be retube it with affordable tubes and sell it as such and let the buyer decide to foot the bill for cork sniffer tubes if he wants them.

I'll p.m. you an as is offer provided it works properly.

NOS is ok for cover bands I prefer the fresh tubes Ruby,Peavey,Groove etc NO  china  defective, weak contaminated YUC. you wouldnt believe how many tubes/guitars/basses/amps etc are cut up or smashed in dumpsters with hydrolic rams

The proof of what the market value is can be proven by listing it on ebay.. if you do then i will bid 350.00 the vintage price guide lists it at 550 in excellent working condition. so it really is not worth much more than my offert unless you get it repaired.
