Halloween II

Post by JayBird »

Boy is this movie a real stinker. I love Rob Zombie movies, but he was grasping at straws when he wrote this script.

Yeah, this movie was a real piece of shit. Laurie's friends were annoying. What happened to Dr. Loomis being obsessed with stopping Michael Myers? Last year, Laurie went through hell involving a serial killer, yet she sleeps with a poster of Charles Manson above her bed. WTF?

Not real good. It would have been a helluva lot better without the dream/hallucination scenes. I did like Michael's brutality, though. Actually the best scene was when they showed laurie's injuries at the beginning. It really sucks when you anticipate a movie for so long and it's crap. Oh well, Zombie is doing a remake of The Blob next. We'll see what happens with that.

I don't get this. Halloween II came out in 1981.

Why isn't this Halloween VII?

Gawd! A sequel of a remake of a sequel?

What's next?

I have a question that I'm hoping someone can answer: Has Rob Zombie done anything other than remakes of older movies??
Pour me another one, cause I'll never find the silver lining in this cloud.

I'll take your word for it. I haven't seen any movie that Zombie has directed.

Not a fan of remakes, especially when the original is solid and stands the test of time....Zombie needs to resurrect his characters from "The Devil's Rejects".....those freaks rule!!!

Also, Zombie can call "House of 1000 Corpses" original, but man does he borrow some ideas from "Texas Chain Saw Massacre"

Captain Spaulding for president!!!

Halloween II

Post by joltinjeff »

I will not go and watch any remake of a prequel/sequel ever! When they started remaking Dawn of the Dead and adding some really stupid shit to it, I said to hell with it. The only original thing that Zombie has goin for him is his music, but he has put anything out in awhile I dont think. As for Halloween II or VII lets not forget that ppl still keep bringing Jason back to kill ppl at Crystal Lake.
MOVE ON PEOPLE!!!!! THERE IS NOTHING TO SEE HERE!!! Which is why those of us who are old enough to remember the originals should boycott those movies because they add something so freaking outlandish that it makes the movie suck!!

Horror movies to me are useless, my wife and daughter are into those kinds of movies. However, I did like A Haunting in Conneticut and some other movies in the suspense, not so much blood and gore crap. YES I CAN HANDLE BLOOD AND GUTS, but when you get to the point of knowing exactly when a pretty 20-something blonde with huge tits is going to get her throat cut is not a movie, its soft porn!
Having talent is one thing....what you do with it is something else

i haven't seen the first remake, and i won't see this sequel to the remake. i didn't see the remake of dawn of the dead, nor did i see the remake of texas chainsaw massacre. to me, the first time the movie was made was enough. i don't think i need to see a "modern version that's re-written to capture the spirit of the original, but as if someone else wrote, directed, produced, acted, designed wardrobe, designed sets for it." i think the reason i hate remakes so much is because these films get a budget. half the beauty of the originals was that they were relatively low budget films.

if rob zombie wants to remake something, why not remake white zombie and do what you were good at to begin with. i loved house of a 1000 corpses and devil's rejects, but godamn it, i will not watch his cover of halloween. but whatever, i guess it's lining his pockets with gold, right?
