With few exceptions, radio is nothing more than a corporate entity designed to make money. They don't know anything or care at all about music. I don't even listen to the radio anymore.
But it doesn't really matter because we have the miracle of the internet, so long as it remains free, and there it doesn't matter what you look like or who you're in bed with. There, the music speaks for itself, which is as it should be. If we're lucky, internet music will shank radio in the ass and leave it tits up in a ditch.
Here's an interesting documentary that anyone who actually loves music should watch:

Radio can bite my shiny metal ass.

WHOA there, spanky. Better rephrase that. It's radio OWNERS that you should be mad at, or telling to fuck off, not the employees. Sorry, but I'm proud of the 15 years I had in radio. I ALWAYS put my listeners first. Besides, if that frst line is how you feel, you just told Jim Price to fuck off. Think before you speak.shredder138 wrote:Fuck radio and all its empolyees

This is sad, not just because QWK was one of a dwindling number of rock stations in this market, but because they have been around since 1969. When I first started getting turned on to rock music in the early '70s, QWK and X-103 in State College both played "underground" rock at the time. Their signal didn't always come in strong, but I often tried to tune them in to hear album deep cuts. They went through a few format changes along the way, but came back full circle to rock before the expansion to 99.1 and the Johnstown market.
Bottom line, nothing lasts forever in today's radio business.
