..who ran through a stop sign. He said " I didn't even see ya and kinda did a California stop through that stop sign." Well I kinda got the idea he didnt see me when I was 2 feet away from the front bumper of his Jeep Cherokee. I saw him slow down before the stop sign and it was in a double lane so I looked over to make sure it was ok to cross the other 2 lanes then next thing I know I'm ready to get hit by a vehicle. Definetely turned my nice day bad. Luckily he hit me right up by the front turn signal so I didn't get my leg crushed and I didn't get hurt. Did one hell of a 180 though for a couple hundred pound bike. Same can't be said for my bike though but his insurance should pay for that. I'm just so thankful I'm ok, just a little bruised up and sore, but it coulda been alot worse. I never thought i'd be the one in a motorcycle crash haha.

Glad you're ok bro,I know how it feels being involved in a bike accident. It's amazing,if people would just slow down and look these needless accidents wouldn't happen.EyesOfAnguishbassist wrote:..who ran through a stop sign. T-boned...
That sucks!!! Glad you're ok... I was in Pittsburgh Wednesday. Saw a Caravan pull out in from of a bike. Thankfully, the dude on the bike got stopped.... That would have been ugly!!! ... A 18/19 year old dude was killed yesterday on 322 in Reedsville yesterday afternoon on a bike. His buddy was flown to Altoona. Paper said he were going like hell and just lost it, in corner at the "double bridges".... Sad day in Mifflin Co. yesterday!!! Plus 2 others "got it" in a 4 car wreck by my house at 6 am.
Kickin' like a one legged chicken....

Jerrod and I ride, and there are soo many people that don't watch. I don't know how many times I turn around and motion for the person to move just a bit further back from us... But I must admit I hate, and I MEAN HATE those people that show off on the crotch rockets doing wheelies on the highway!!! We were on 376 leaving Pittsburgh and these jackasses just pulled up and away they went standing on their bikes doing over 70mph!! That is an accident waiting to happen, for them and others!
Glad you are okay and will be able to ride again!!

Glad you're ok, dude! I ride and I really think that cellphones are the biggest danger out there. I was in LA last week and out there it's illegal to use one while you're driving. I really wish they would make it a law here too. I have a cell phone - but I don't use it for chattin' - just important quick things. Ever since they've become popular I see so many idiot mistakes, mostly no signaling.
I just make sure I don't follow too close, wait for it to be absolutley safe to pull out from an intersection and never take a signal for granted. I realize that only helps my chances a bit, but it's worth the patience.
Take care!

The crappiest thing of the whole situation is all I wanted to do all summer was ride with all my friends down to the Carlisle bike show which is this coming weekend. Of any day all spring/summer/fall of riding my motorcycle I just so happen to get hit a week before the bike show in which there is no way my bike will be fixed by. I'll still get to go but I don't even get to ride a bike to it haha. Oh well, I coulda got hurt so I'm thankful but you can't help but be a little ticked all cuz some moron ran a stop sign.

nah the front turns are snapped off and the front brakes are sticking i think because the front brake rotor is bent and im not sure if the handlebars are bent or just the forks are bent but its not driveable. The engine fires up like a champ but its not moving anywhere hahaMr.MoJo RiZin' wrote:Glad your OK man.
If your bike is ride-able? I would take it to the show anyway. A little duct tape goes along way.
Yeah man I know what you mean, but like you said at least you aren't hurt. Hell, maybe you can call a friend up and ride on his bike to the bike show.
This isn't nearly as bad as what you just went through, but when i got my first car I put a bit of work into it and some paint, about two weeks after some bitch t-boned me right in the middle of union ave. The intersection where Lightner's Auto Service is now. That was a bummer cause it was a Tbird (forget the year) and when you started it and pushed the gas, it would go like a raped date.
