We Are Their Voice
We Are Their Voice
I was sorry to hear about Operation Black&Tan's dog Emmit being shot. As I was watching the story again on the news this morning I thought how sad it is for people to be so cruel to animals. Then two more stories aired about other people's cat's being shot and killed. Now, I know a lot of people say that they hate cats but is that a reason to kill them? Why? Because they get into garbage, WTF?! You know, if not for our feline friends we would be over run with rodents and other undesirable critter's. Sorry, but I love cat's and I think some people should sit back and think before they act.

I remember someone once told me "I don't trust someone who doesn't like animals." Those have been sage words, because in my experience, anti-social people are often cruel to animals. I wonder if there is any empirical scientific support for that.

I'm pretty sure there is, because psych tests always ask people if they've ever harmed or wanted to harm animals. That said, fuck cats.lolbassist_25 wrote: I wonder if there is any empirical scientific support for that.

This stuff happens allot. And its not the animals fault for doing what they do naturally, its the owners fault. Like dog crapping in neighbors yard. Its not the dogs fault, the owner has more responsibility than the dog.

I remember some research on the correlation to torturing pets/animals as a child as being a strong relation to being a serial killer.... I know Dahmer got his start doing mutilations of neighborhood pets...DirtySanchez wrote:I'm pretty sure there is, because psych tests always ask people if they've ever harmed or wanted to harm animals. we have a pine tree beside our front porch, and my neighbors cat uses it as a liter box. it stinks. very bad. it's kinda embarrassing when people come by that my house stinks of cat piss outside, and i don't even own a cat. not only that, but i have herbs planted in big pots on the front porch and one day when i was getting home from work i caught one of their 3 cats shitting in it. would you like a little shit with your parsley? on memorial day, i was using the grill in the back yard, and one of them snuck into our closed in back porch and pissed in it. i'd never kill an animal if i know who the owner is, but this is starting to turn into a war. i figure the cats will learn not to shit and piss around my house after about 10 paint balls each. well... i have an airsoft pistol, too... you don't understand why people kill stray cats? because they hate the smell of cat piss.
don't get me wrong, i have had cats and i love cats. i've had probably had over 7 cats since i was like 5 or 6 and my family lived in bald eagle (not at once. the most we had at once were 3).
maybe i'm a prick because i'm tired of random cats pissing on my house?

I catch them Kitties in a trap and they go for a ride to closest farm which i usually ask the farmer if he cares and they make good rodent killers at the farm and most farmers don't care.
I don't mind them til i catch them on the cars or bikes and then its time for a ride.

Don't blame the cats for being, well....cats. Blame the "owners" or those who don't take the responsibility to spay or neuter their cats and let them run amok in the neighborhood to make more unwanted strays.
I have 10 cats, yep, count em 10. Most of them strays from the neighborhood from jackasses who are as responsible with their kids as their animals. Meaning, as soon as they kids and critters aren't cute any longer and the hormones kick in & they start screwing, they're left to run the streets. They become someone else's problem to deal with.
This is a throw away society. It's a damn shame.

If the child is a fire starter, a bed wetter and kills animals, the probability is high that the child "could" become a serial killer.

That sounds like a pretty shitty stereotype, dont you think? I don't know. I could be wrong; I just don't like stereotypes. Last Saturday, I played a private party with my other band. I have a mohawk that's down to my chin. He says that I listen to the same music as that guy. I don't know. I just don't like when people label somebody because of their actions or looks. I just think it's stupid. I do not intend any offense to you.thebattle wrote:

Buddy, it's a fact. That's part of the profile of a serial killer. It's called the" triad of warning signs in childhood." These things are indicators of dissasociative disorders. It doesn't mean they WILL become serial killer but with these indicators they have a high disposition to POSSIBLY become a serial killer. MOST serial killers have been identified with this triad as children. I'm not stereotyping anyone. It's actual research.

And damn it, Ruschelle, you don't get off scott-free either by saying that evidence for something psychological is "fact."
I should become Captain Research Methods, much like we have Captain Grammar.
"You would be using a between-subjects design to test your hypothesis as exposing your participants to the manipulation would result in carry-over effects if they also acted as their own control group. Also, you may want to collect some nonparametric data in regard to gender and geographic location and see if there are any significant findings when computing a chi-square.
You're welcome."
