Maybe? However, there is more to the story that really cannot be told because of other people involved.

Who cares? bands comes and go. If someone wants to leave the project for whatever reason....who cares? That's their decision. When the band becomes no fun, its time to go.

"Venting Rick"...

Post by Rich »

I used to get all uptight about stuff like this... BUT, I've learned, after many years, that it's just not worth the mental stress of thinking about it. Move on, there will be many projects to get into. I've always looked at it like this. If someone needs to leave to better themselves in a "better" project. More power to them. They have my support. Or if people just can't see eye to eye on things. Than maybe it's better to part ways. All that does is cause more problems. Then nobody is happy and it will fall apart. Plus, you may loss a friendship or 3... Separated as business and friendship, per say. I have a few friends, that I was in bands with. We never saw eye to eye on anything. We parted ways, but we are still friends and still support each others projects.... It's not that simple for some, but you get the picture... It's a human learning experience...

I agree, Rich. Bands come and go. I don't think a public forum is the place for band squabbles. If everybody aired this stuff on Rockpage, the site would run out of bandwidth.

A band, just like a marriage, is a love and hate relationship. You guys could hate each other today and then get back together. Who likes the friend who always comes and moans about their stupid gf/bf and then gets back with them or whatever. That stuff gets tired. Same for bands. If you get in a fight, best to keep it to yourself.

Some of my best friends in the world are old bandmates. I can't really think of anyone I've played with that I'm not on good terms with. If you guys disagree, try to find ways to do it honorably. We live in a small area, chances are, you will be seeing or playing with one of them in the future.

I hope you guys can figure things out on a personal level.

Good luck.

What is it with all these in fighting posts? This is starting to look like the Doctor Phil show more than anything. Maybe we need to have a couple of psychologist on hand for these people?

Paul, I am game if you are ??

Is this a "first band" for everyone involved?
