Friction was a ska-core band from Lewistown, Pennsylvania, Joe Martin Lead Guitar was one of the best guitarist to grace the Central Pa music scene. Friction eventually morphed into New York City-based Caesar Pink and the Imperial Orgy. Although Friction enjoyed a large and dedicated following in Pennsylvania, they disbanded while on the verge of signing with a major label, but not before their music was played to a world-wide audience on Radio Moscow in 1987.

Joey lived in Houtzdale for from 76 to 80 We sure had alot of fun. That was a great time for music. We were doing what is now Classic Rock then top ten LOL. He was a natural for punk Rock. Good to see the ones of us still left rocking.

I have a couple of Friction's vinyl albums. I also have seen Caeser Pink and the Imperial Orgy several times over the years; definitely a band that throws out the rulebook!
