hmm.. I noticed that the site is back up. Wonder if they are under new management? Either way, I will still go to Best Buy over them any day.

edit: I just read the site - They are under new ownership. Systemax Computers bought them. They are the same company who owns tigerdirect.com That can kinda be a good thing.

"Richard Leeds, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Systemax, commented, "This acquisition and quick launch of the all new CircuitCity.com further solidifies Systemax's position as a leader in online retailing of value-priced, branded computers and consumer electronics. Circuit City is one of the iconic brands in U.S. electronics retailing with a 60-year legacy."

Sounds like they are only online...

Well, the website doesn't exactly specify.

The "Relaunch" page says CircuitCity.com everywhere, but it still implies they bought out CircuitCity including stores.

They need to either a.) change the logo to "CircuitCity Online" or state right at the top "The new circuitcity.com - online shopping" etc.

long term

Post by zman1200 »

Long term looks like to me a electronics super store with a GC style music section and a MF website Altoona seems to be on the list mom and dad can look at washers and drills and compooters and camcorders and get the picture. When Wally world teaches do you learn!!!

A newegg store would kick soooooooo much ass.
Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.
