Cops...
Gotta learn respect, somehow... You wanna "act" tough... Learn to take it! If my daughter acted that way... (Which she better not, or she'd get it from me!).... O'well!! Just because your "under age" don't give you the right to act like a total ass, think your all that, get away with anything and shit on people.... Life lesson learned...
Have some respect and learn NOT to be an ass... You actually get more of what you want...

if i've learned anything from the dark knight movie, it's that the victim dosn't feel anything after the initial hit to the head, she's fine. she stole a car, kicked her shoe at a cop, and got a beating she'll never forget. thank you media for allowing her to forget the lesson she learned.

Good for her, this is what's wrong with our society. Everyone babies kids and teens theses days. I personally believe they should bring back the paddle in the classroom as odd as that sounds. I never experienced it, but I believe our generation is out of control and alittle correction for the youths would do the trick. But again the moms' and dads' of the perfect American household would become sue-happy for sure, and thats whats wrong. "You can't touch my kid". Back in the day you didn't see teens out of control like they are today, and especially no fucking school shootings. Nothing wrong with discipline, obviously her parents weren't giving it to her. +1 for the pig.. Oink Oink bitches
I don't think she DESERVED that. A few nights in jail, and probably the initial apprehension pains will suffice. Hell, maybe the throw against the corner of the cell. But if you were in the same situation, I somehow don't think you'd feel you DESERVED all of that
Course then again, I'd agree that an ass-whipping every so often couldn't hurt anyone, but if a parent ever did that to their child, they'd be going to jail for certain

When I was a kid, we still got paddled in school. Also, we couldn't get away with shit in my town, small as it was. If a neighbor or a friend of the family caught us being "dirty" they would kick our ass and then tell the old man. Then we REALLY got it...Now you have brats screaming child abuse when thier own parents correct them and that is just wrong.gibson980 wrote:should bring back the paddle in the classroom as odd as that sounds. She deserved to be roughed up, but a beating is a beating no matter how you look at it, even if the police were "excessive." I had a warrant for a DUI once, I was in the wrong. When the Altoona Police finally caught up to me, I ran. They caught me and split my friggin' head open and dislocated my knee....FOR A DUI WARRANT. They're reason for the hammering.......Because I ran and they thought I "might" have had a weapon.
If I would have called a lawyer...He would have laughed at me.
So that being said...IF YA CAN'T DO THE "TIME," DON'T DO THE CRIME!!!

funniest thing ever.
hey, she might not have deserved getting punched in the back of the head, but if my kid stole my car, i'd beat the piss our of him/her... and maybe press charges. there is just some shit you don't do. like steal cars. remember, she stole a fucking car. at age 15. what would your dad have done to you? i'd like to re-iterate: she stole a car!
imagine if she would have wrecked into someone. what if she ran someone over? she's obviously not too bright, or she wouldn't have stolen the fuckin thing. fuck her and everybody that looks like her. and anyone under the age of 18 dumb enough to commit grand theft auto... anyone over 18, for that matter.

If
If you're going to keep saying " she stole a car " then she should be let go and be completely free, I mean if the beating was because she stole a car then she has been punished, so set her free. I have kids and unlike alot of parents I KNOW mine do bad shit, and when I catch them I punish them but only once and in one way, you cannot issue 2 or 3 sentences for 1 crime. Sometimes when I read posts on this site I feel like I am reading the rants of madmen.
I'm glad I didn't have to fight in a war, I'm glad I didn't get killed or kill somebody, I hope my kids enjoy the same lack of manhood

Fuck that street rat, she got what she had coming. An ass kicking. Maybe she won't fuck with other people's shit anymore. There's nothing worse than turning criminals into victims. Sure the police acted pretty harsh, but you know, I wonder how the person felt when they came out and their ride was gone?

The thing about "police station" videos is that they never have sound on... So it becomes a "he said", "she said" issue, and obviously their going to side with the cop.
She said, that she said she wasnt resisting.... He said she was blabbing out obsenities... Who was right, who was wrong?
And if you watch the video, she didnt actually "KICK" it at him, she pretty much flung the shoe off her foot deliberatly.
So a push n a shove to the wall, woulda be fine.. but "hair pulling" and thrown to the ground, and punched in the head a couple times, is a little over doing it, no ?
Sure shes a 15 year old punk ass that her AND her friend stole her Friends "MOMS" car.
What about the friend? did she get anything? why wasnt she shown getting arrested?

Beat down...
Maybe she WASN'T being a punk ass and had some respect and/or remorse. I've been "busted" for "stupid shit" back in the day... When I got caught, I got caught... Kept my mouth shut.... I lost.... Took my punishment and moved on with my life and to the next adventure....

Police don't just hand out beat downs. Most likely she was being a punk ass.Rich wrote:Maybe she WASN'T being a punk ass and had some respect and/or remorse. Best route.
That was overkill though. Shoulda just maced her.
You guys that are saying, She got what she deserved:
Would you seriously have done the same? Seriously?
This has nothing to do with stealing a car, like Grimm said, that's what the courts are for. I'm all for corporal punishment, but that was just abuse.
Difference between paddling your kid and punching her in the face.

Have you ever done something "outside the law", and had something along the same lines happen to you? We were all young once, I'm sure not all of us were perfect little boys and girls, and that some of us have probably (GASP!) broken a law in our lifetime. And with that in mind, I'm sure we got what we had coming... A busted ass, or whatever else. I doubt most of you were flung around like a ragdoll though
As for this situation,... Rough her up a little, sure. Punish the kid if needbe. But she was out and out bullrushed. I can even understand to the point of hitting her against the wall. Make sure she can't attack, keep her in the cell, and so on and so forth. End the struggle there
So, when do 2 close-fist shots to the back of the head when you're fully detained come as "deserved"? When is that a proper punishment for some "punk kid"? I mean Hell, she was bullrushed into a wall. At that point, I'd gather, by her lack of reaction, that she was disoriented anyway. It's not like if she had the idea of running away that she was actively working on it at that point
Take it as a real perspective, and how you'd feel about it if it happened to you. Cops beating the Hell out of people isn't exactly a sport to me

your still victimizing the criminal here. what about when she gets to prison? you think people ain't gonna kick the shit out of her there? she needs a fucking wake up call that you can't run your mouth. i would never have stolen a car at that age, because my step dad would have actually beat me up. literally. he did it before. it sucked, but you know what? i've never been arrested. i don't run my mouth when i shouldn't. the problem with youth today is that kids run their mouth to authority figures because they think they can get away with it. no way, Paco, life don't work that way.

Sad thing is, the law is so strict on "child abuse" any more that there's no room for the parents TO whip their kids' asses. I wouldn't've been in that situation either, and if somehow I had, I would've kept my trap shut
Regardless though... Someone's gonna kick her ass for running her mouth sooner or later. But let it be somewhere on the streets or in jail, not from some cop who's just on a power trip and an adrenaline rush. There's a time and a place for everything, and that wasn't it!
And anyway, what would you think if some cop would beat your ass after you were incapacitated? Would it still be "fair" then? Would you still think he "did the right thing"?

Bad kids think/know the law is on their side in most instances where parental discipline is concerned. These days, kids threaten to call the cops on their parents if they attempt to correct them. I firmly believe that the reason there are so many underage delinquents in society today is because parents can/will be arrested for kicking their kids' asses. I've never been much of a physical dicsiplinarian with my kids but there are times when it becomes necessary to take a hold of a child and remind them who's in charge. Time out my ass.
BTW, paddlings were prevelant when I was in high school and lemme tell you, there was a definite fear factor involved. No one wanted to get whacked by Coach Clouse. That fear kept a lot of people in line who otherwise would've acted a fool. When it comes to children, there's nothing wrong with a healthy fear of authority. That fear will turn into respect when they grow the fuck up.
