This is like all other recordings...meaning...it's basicly rough draft/demo quality. The intro is about 2 mins. with no vocals, so be patient...it's a very nice intro

It's not too hard to capitalize if you're a trained typist. My big thing is numbers. I've had three years of typing courses, and I still can't type numbers without looking.

didn't hendrix get big on a cover? didn't limp bizkit get big on a cover? hasn't disturbed released a couple of covers? what about metallica? they released a full two disk set of nothing but covers...

i hate the whole "your in a cover band you have no talent" mentality.

Got a question. Ya got band A and band B. Band A has a lot of material written and polished. They're buds with band B and say "Since you guys don't have any material yet, we'll let you have a couple songs that we're not gonna play out. We'll give you a cd of the songs." Band B learns the songs and play them out. Does this make them a cover band?

Ahh, that's right. You haven't been around Rockpage long enough...

A couple times a year, someone comes along and starts a flame war on how original bands are so much better than cover bands. Both sides exchange insults and state opinions as if they're the objective truth. At the end of the day, nobody has had his or her mind changed, and all of us are still just local musicians playing in Central Pa clubs.

Anytime a cover vs. original debate creeps up on Rockpage, I move that Rickw's signature, as provided Killjingle, is stated in big red letters and the thread is closed.

I work fulltime, sometimes 60 hours a week, i raise 2 children with a third one on the way. when i'm not at work, or with the kids, i write songs...because i enjoy it. when I'm finished writing them, I like to post them on my website for people to hear...again it's simple, if you don't want to hear it don't go to the site, i really don't give a shit. i stick to the "general discussion" page because thats where i should post. Well not that many ppl are familiar with the fact hendrix's is a cover...and limp bizkit can suck every male human baby maker in south africa (lol maybe thats where they are because no one's even heard of them since woodstock 99)...and disturbed's cover wasn't even taken into consideration for the album until Phil himself approved it (and in my opinion i think they did it great justice)...and Garage inc. was complete rock bottom for Metallica and they have yet to even try to come close from climbing out of that hole

You're totally missing the point. I'm not dissing your music, or you, or your promotion thereof. What I'm simply saying is there's more here than just self-promotion. Rockpage is a vibrant community, and we'd love to have you join in on any of the threads that touch on various topics of discussion. That doesn't warrant an attack like you did to me.

But, just for the record, fuckwad, I work 2 jobs also, have a family and a home to take care of, and am still finding the time to log on to Rockpage every day so I can interact with my friends. Sounds like you need to invest in some.

And to deathdealer: Fuck off, son. I've played in original bands before (that would be Gin & Juice, locally). Have you ever played with anything besides yourself? Don't bother answering that.
