Thanks whoever said I'm an expert  I dont know everything, but I am familiar with alot of their products.

The PS-4 was introduced in 1995 and made until mid 1996. It was an import model made in Korea, which was very good quality and are now sought after because of their build quality and rarity because they were made for only 2 model years.
Here's the specs:
Alder body
Maple neck
Rosewood fretboard
Locking nut
Reverse Headstock with off set dot inlays
24 Jumbo frets
Jackson JT-500 Double locking licensed Floyd Rose trem
H-S-H pickup configuration (Jackson J-170 Neck humbucker, Jackson J-135 Single coil, and a Jackson J-70 Bridge humbucker)

They all had Black Hardware
Available colors were Black, Dark Metallic Blue, Red Violet Metallic, Blue Green Metallic, and Black Cherry.

The predecessor to the PS-4 was the JDR-94 Dinky. The JDR was a one year only model run and it is also highly sought after by Jackson players as well.
The guitars are very close in appearance and are visually identical.
The JDR has a basswood body, but the PS-4 has alder. The pickups are slightly different, but similar in tone and output.

Here are the specs on the JDR-94:
Basswood body
Maple neck
Rosewood fretboard
Locking nut
Reverse Headstock with off set dot inlays
24 Jumbo Frets
Jackson JT-500 Double locking licensed Floyd Rose trem
H-S-H pickup configuration (Jackson J-65 Neck humbucker, Jackson J-130 Single coil, and a Jackson J-65 Bridge humbucker)

The early 90's Jackson Professional line were made in Japan and were a bolt on neck with the word "Professional" on the headstock.
They were on par with Jackson USA bolt on's and even sone of the neck through models because of the build quality and playability of them.
They feature the thinnest necks on any Jackson before or since, and they are my favorite of any neck I've ever played.

The Professional models were made in 1993 and 1994 only, and that's where the JDR came into play. The JDR has "Professional" on the headstock.

The "Performer" models were introduced as a replacement to the "Professional" models, and most of the body styles carried over to the Performers with the exception of the King V.

I owned a PS3-T Rhoads Performer and a PS-4 Dinky and they were excellent guitars. The only mods were an OFR and EMG pickups, but most any guitar benefits to upgrades like that.

Not sure if you just bought one or you found one for sale, but I'd say they are great guitars and play extremely well.
Not many know about the rarity of them, so they are going for decent prices. You can pickup a really nice Performer for around $200-275 and a Professional for $275-450. Once people catch on then they will go up in price, but I'm not complaining

That's about all that I can think of off hand, but if you have any questions I can try to help you out some more.

I had a PS-4 a few years ago. Not a bad guitar at all. Tone was a little thin but probably could have been helped by swappin' out the pickups. I really dug the reverse head stock and the off set dots on the fret board. Personally though I'd go for one of the older model series Charvels rather than the newer import Jacksons. Those Charvels just seem to be much more solid and have great tone. Have to agree with JacksonV though, neck throughs rule ha,ha!!!

Yeah they are great playing guitars. That's cool that you have one already, so that makes it even better.

Get a chance check out www.jcfonline.com
I'm a member there as well, and it's like your online Jackson headquarters for all things Jackson/Charvel.
There's tons of info and pictures available as reference.

I checked last night after I posted to your question, and I saw about 4 or 5 threads dedicated entirely to the PS-4.
Unfortunately, you might have to be a registered member to do a forum search, but it's well worth the few minutes you'd spend doing it.

There's no comparison between a neck thru and a bolt on really, and one day I'll have a Custom Shop King V with an unpainted neck and true Jumbo frets.
The USA KV2's have Medium Jumbos, otherwise I would have one already.
Sucks being a lefty....story of my fuckin life man
