Hello Everyone,
Here is the recap of the Nov. 30 edition of Rocky 104.9's new weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 9 to 11 PM during Pittsburgh Steelers football season. (The show will air from 8 to 10 PM after the Steelers' season concludes.)
This week was the latest installment of our “Local Music Live in Concert Special!” For two hours, we showcased live performances from local and regional bands and artists, recorded in nightspots, theaters, festivals and other events. We debuted new live footage from The Front, Big Mack & the Fries and Suicide Switch; we flashed back to 2000 to hear a live track from Whiskey High, and we reviewed a new regional live album, Bushmaster’s Live & Blue, in “The Professor’s CD Corner.”
Here is this week's playlist:
HOUR ONE:
THE CLARKS – “Better Off Without You”
NORMAN NARDINI – “Rock and Roll City”
THE FRONT – “Battleground for the Brave”
LEDBETTER HEIGHTS – “She Feels”
RHYNE McCORMICK – “How Long”
STEVE SUMMERHILL – “Southern Cross”
HERBIE – “The Bad”

Next Sunday night, we’ll again get caught up on new local and regional recordings that have arrived at “Homegrown Rocker” headquarters in recent weeks. We’ll debut new songs, update Local Music News, and review a new local CD in the “Professor’s CD Corner!” And since it is the season of giving, we’ll be giving listeners chances to call in and win local music CD prize packs, featuring discs from Rise Phoenix Rise, Acalasia, Zupe & Nichols, Like A Movie and more! It’s two hours of maximum local and regional music, plus your chance to win, on the “Homegrown Rocker,” next Sunday night!
Forthcoming guests and specials include:
DEC. 14 – XHIBITION
