I have a late 80's PL-80 I still use occasionally, especially at electrified gigs, they work pretty well in a high-volume environment. The gain-before-feedback is higher than the SM-58, I think, and they're warmer to my ears.
I saw they were making these, I hope they're as good as the old ones.----->JMS

why did they discontinue the line? I didnt start acquiring gear till a decade later so I didnt realize that this was a "reissue"
