This is some great reading with really nice color photos.
The unfortunate part is that it is on the more advanced side of the the technical repairs.
Even so, I thought that this was really cool and it deserved to be seen.

Is a strat really worth the time and effort, considering Brass prices are up.

Sorry Fender guys, I couldn't resist.
I'm actually like the "S" shape more since this summer when I built the Charvel Strat.
I'd love to have the means to do something like that.
I 'm willing to bet that the small amount of wood lost wil be gained back in huge amounts by that big and weighty hunk of brass.
Probably a brighter tone as well.
There's brass trem blocks avail from the aftermarket for Floyds and Vintage Fender trems.
They are fuggin' thick also!
