What band do you wish would have made just 1 more album?

Post by metalchurch »

I got a couple that I would have liked to have gotten just one more release before their demise.

My number one choice would be Black Sabbath of course.

Been waiting since '99 after their reunion tour when the talks began about a new one, but of course we're still waiting aren't we? I liked "Psycho Man" and "Selling my Soul", the two songs they recorded and release during the reunion, but it just left me with my mouth watering.

Another would be an Ozzy album w/ Jake E. Lee, but that aint gonna happen....

Sabbat (UK Thrash band) was another one that put out 2 really good albums then fizzled out. They got back together last year for a few shows, but that was it. Renouned producer Andy Sneap was one of the founding members of this group.

Guns N Roses is another one. Still waiting for the 'real' follow up to "Appetite for Destruction".

Another Sepultura album with Max,Igor,Andreas, and Paulo would have been awesome, but of course they broke up after the "Roots" album in '96.

Megadeth with Marty Friedman would be kick ass too.

Dokken with George Lynch.

Queensryche with Chris DeGarmo on guitar.

Wintersbane only made 1 album "Heart of a Killer" w/ Ripper Owens, then he left them. That was a great lineup.

Deicide w/ Eric and Brian Hoffman, (the original guitarists.)

Cannibal Corpse w/ Chris Barnes, that would fuckin rule!!

There's so many more bands, I could really just go on and on.

What bands would you guys like to see make another one with certain band members or producers?

Jimi Hendrix -- It absolutely amazes me that a legend like Jimi only made 3 studio albums and 2 live albums while he was alive.

Not just one more, though...it would have been interesting to see how he would have developed had he not died when he did.

Effin A Bro!

Hendrix is a good one too, Wolf.

I'd add, AC/DC with Bonn Scott, original Danzig lineup (Vonn/Christ), Cry of Love and Pantera.

Although some of these bands are still around, it would have been nice to have heard more music with specific members who've either died or quit. For example:

Alice In Chains...with Lane, of course!
Def Leppard...with Steve Clark
King Crimson...with Bill Bruford
Steve Ray Vaughn
Pantera
Guns N Roses (pre-Axl breakdown)

And I'm still hoping (with fingers crossed) for at least one more Grimm album!

I want Glenn to take back the misfits.

You guys know Jerry and Doyle started a christian band when Glenn first disbanded the misfits right? WTF? Then the wrestling bullshit? Cameo'd in a movie with ICP? GTFO!! I like the music of Michale graves era Misfits, but they should have just changed the name. They went from shock to novelty.

Metallica, with the MOP lineup. I know, beyond everyone's control and all, but still.

You mean the original Misfits weren't novelty? Glenn was never as entertaining after he phased out the dark humor. Why so serious, Glenn?

A band I would have liked to hear another album from was "the fake Clash". The post-Mick Jones version. I always thought they were total shit based on Cut the Crap, which isn't really a band effort. It's Joe Strummer and a drum machine. But check out some live bootlegs of the actual band. Great playing, great material. WTF happened there....
