Song Lyrics that you're feeling right now.

Post by DirtySanchez »

This song is called What Happened? by NYHC band H20:

When it began, for those who don't know
It didn't matter how you looked or what you wore to a show
Dress codes, FUCK NO! we didn't care
About the brand of your jeans and all that shit in your hair

But now the biggest part is all about the image and not the art
Fashion before passion!
And at nights, it makes me mad that I should have to ask:
What happened to the passion? (passion!)
What the reason for screaming?
What happened the music and the message that I love?
What happened to the hard work? (hard work!)
And why does everybody look the same?
What happened the music and the message that I love?

And I know, that people chance
And we go through different stages in life
And I'm not here to criticize
But the reason I scream, is a feeling inside

But now the biggest part is all about the image and not the art
Fashion before passion!
And at nights, it makes me mad that I should have to ask:
What happened to the passion? (passion!)
What the reason for screaming?
What happened the music and the message that I love?
What happened to the hard work? (hard work!)
From http://6lyrics.com
And why does everybody look the same?
What happened the music and the message that I love?

Lost (1, 2, 3, 4) lifetime ago it seems
You gave up on your wildest dreams
But I refuse to let mine go
I took an oath, you can find me here
With an open heart and ears
Refusing to surrender
I can't believe they don't remember
What it feels like to be young

What happened to the passion? (passion!)
What the reason for screaming?
What happened the music and the message that I love?
What happened to the hard work? (hard work!)
And why does everybody look the same?
What happened the music and the message that I love?

Post the song thats really hitting home with you right now.

The song I'm feeling right now is one that I wrote myself, so far it's an instrumental called:
"Not another gay thread" by Metalchurch

I'm still working on the lyrics.

Lambs of the Black Hand
as sung by The Embalmed

Chorus
are you gonna save me...
hell if i could
i got a new home...
of silk and plywood

never gonna be free...
under a glass roof
wail of the banshee...
under a blood moon

I apologize for my unkind words gentlemen. I thought I saw a similar thread not so long ago and it just caught me off guard and seemed to have a high sugar content to it.

Th song that I was working on now has a title:
"Purple Precipitation" (not to be confused with "Purple Rain"
It was an instrumental like stated before, but I'm getting some ideas for lyrics just having some problems with it.

There is however a section after the first break that would benefit from a little skin flute playing, so if anyone wants to help a brother out?
I'm sure theres some talented skinsman that would be perfect for this little number.

hahaha!

I'm starting to have problems writing lyrics too. I'm finding myself following the guitar too much when I'm writing melodies and lyrics. It's like I can't get the strumming and stuff out of my head and write as if I wasn't playing guitar too. I even recorded the songs on my laptop so I'm not playing along. I'm sure it'll come, it's just pissing me off right now.

What was I thinking.? Talking about music on a rock forum.

Maybe we should discuss the coolness of Jake E. Lees spandex.

I imagined you typing that with Keith over your shoulder. haha

Let me know when that song gets finished though, I bet it shreds.

Joe- WTF is high sugar content? People were too nice? The lyrics were sweet? Please let me know so when I start a thread I can do it more to your specs.

Brian,
High sugar content could be sweet and nice, but I refer to it as gay or homsexual and the like. Act like you never heard that one before.
Yeah the 80's attire was nothing to be proud of but the man could fuckin play that's all I care. But we could talk about his drawers or what's in them if you like.

Sure if you wanna run all of your topics by me first that would be cool, but it's alright as is, you have my approval.

It's not that I'm gettin on you or anyone for talking about something musically related on a music forum, it's just that this topic was used a few times now, and I believe that you even made one yourself at one point using roughly the same idea.

Just seemed monotonous to me, so I was bustin your balls that's all, sorry if I got your panties in a bunch.
I wonder if they are what JEL wears?

And to answer another question, no, Keith was not over my shoulder during that post or any of my posts for that matter, but I am flattered that you picture the two of us together, but why does he have to be behind?
Oh well, it's your fantasy, I'll just go with it.

Right Now, I am listening to the new Kutless CD "To Know that Youre Alive"

The song Complete is sorta where i am in life right now!
Heres the Lyrics

Incomplete it all began
The broken state that I was in
I wished that I was someone else
Cause' I was lost inside myself
I started seeing who I am
The day my life with you began
You clearly solved the mystery
That finding you meant finding me.

God, I've fallen to my knees
I'm bowing at your feet
I give you all of me
In you I am complete
It's all because of love
I'm not who I was
I'm who I meant to be
In you I am complete

God who doesn't need at all
I heard your voice I felt your call
It's echoing I cannot shake you off.
The stars that shine they bear your name
They sing the song that gives you praise
You've captured me
My heart is lifting off

God, I've fallen to my knees
I'm bowing at your feet
I give you all of me
In you I am complete
It's all because of love
I'm not who I was
I'm who I meant to be
In you I am complete

I've got to tell the world about the things you've done
I want to shout it out, I'm gonna live it now
Amazing grace is why I'm singing

God, I've fallen to my knees
I'm bowing at your feet
I give you all of me
In you I am complete
It's all because of love
I'm not who I was
I'm who I meant to be
In you I am complete
Club Sandwiches, Not Seals!

Joe- See the word NOW! I figured it was okay every month or so to see what people were jammin. As far as gay/homosexuality goes. You just mentioned it in every paragraph in your post. Jesus Christ, nobody's touching you are they? Maybe you should talk to someone.!
Your homophobic caveman approach did kinda piss me off, but I was a little on edge yesterday because I had to go to that fucking doctor about the health of my child in the womb. We got a clear bill of health though, so everything can go back to normal and I'm sorry. Now tell Keith to give you a reach around for me and say "You're such a big boy!" In his best Peter Steele Voice. xoxoxo

Fair enough Brian, but if I had posted the same topic within a short time span, you kow damn well that you'd have busted my balls on it and don't say that you wouldn't.
I'm sorry that you were on edge yesterday, if I had known that I wouldn't have even said anything, cause I know first hand that it sucks when your woman/child are involved.

I won't ever mention about the gays anymore if that make you feel better? But you gotta promise to not make fun of Ozzy's guitar players.

Glad everything is ok for ya, and I guess naming your child Joseph is out of the question now.

...and to unhijack my hijacking, I've been listening to Hammerfall's cover of 'Man on the silver mountain', but I wont bore you with typing out the lyrics.

It's ok man! I really dig lyrics dude. That's why I started the thread.
I love songs that have a meaning/ tell a cool story/ make fun of stuff, whatever. Unless it's that dragons and elves and wood fairy nymph bullshit. I don't watch it on tv, i'm not dealing with it in song either. (Sorry DIO fans)

For the Noise Rule:

All alone, or in two's,
The ones who really love you
Walk up and down outside the wall.
Some hand in hand
And some gathered together in bands.
The bleeding hearts and artists
Make their stand.
And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall, after all it's not easy
Banging your heart against some mad bugger's wall.

This is a call to arms
...Oh, the freedom of the day that yielded to no rule or time...

Silent Wars by Arch Enemy:

This is killing us
Fighting the truth a losing battle
We believe in nothing
Just hatred for each other

Tragic sinister serenade
Twisted melody shatters reality
Dying hopes for a better day
Fragile dreams that break away

No more, no more
This pain must end

We have chosen to suffer
Believe in nothing but...

Hatred is a vicious circle
Betrayal is at hand
Paralysed souls bleeding
Begging for salvation
Deeper and deeper the wounds we cut
The truth burning our flesh
Silent war to set us free
Stigmata of a tragedy

No more, no more
This pain must end

We have chosen to suffer
Feeling nothing but hate
It's eating us up from the inside
Taking our feelings away

I have been listening to alot of Rancid lately and i cant seem to get this song outta my head.

"Daly City Train"

He was an artist and a writer
and a poet and a friend
In a man's life he will take a fall
but how low he goes it just depends

He's shooting dope in the men's room
at the station daly city train
Have you ever seen an angel well I know I have
they'll stay here for a while and then they'll fly away

[Chorus: x2]
Jackyl had a beer in his hand last time I seen him
When he rolled the dice he never thought twice
never thought twice about being him

Some grown up and some grow old
but what about the kid who never learned the rules
Spent all these years on this earth
when you look back it's just a flicker of time

Jackyl was one of the one's that perished
He was one of the one's that was already saved
Through all the evil and wreckage
he maintained a sense of himself

[Chorus x2]

Some men are in prison even though they walk the streets at night
Other men who got the lockdown are free as a bird in flight

[Chorus x2]

Well its an older song and you all know the words Im sure, but its what Im feeling right now so...here it be....
Social Distortion: I was wrong

When I was young, I was so full of fear
I hid behind anger, held back the tears
It was me against the world, I was sure that I'd win
But the world fought back, punished me for my sins
I felt so alone, so insecure,
I blamed you instead and made sure I was heard
And they tried to warn me of my evil ways
But I couldn't hear what they had to say

I was wrong, self destruction's got me again
I was wrong, I realized now that I was wrong

And I think about my loves, well I've had a few
I'm sorry that I hurt them, did I hurt you too?
I took what I wanted, put my heart on the shelf
How can you love when you don't love yourself?
It was me against the world, I was sure that I'd win
But the world fought back, punished me for my sins
And they tried to warn me of my evil ways
But I couldn't hear what they had to say

Well I grew up fast, I grew up hard
something was wrong from the very start
I was fighting everybody, I was fighting everything
but the only one that I hurt was me
I got "society's" blood running down my face,
Somebody help me get outta this place
How could someone's bad luck last so long?
until I realized that I was wrong

I was wrong, self destruction's got me again
I was wrong, the only one that was wrong was me,
I was wrong.

As sad as it is, I have to quote Limp Bizkit after today:

It's just one of those days
when you don't wanna wake up,
evrythin is fucked
everybody sucks
You don't really know why
but you wanna justify rippin someones head off

No human contact and if you interact
your life is on contract
your best bet is to stay away mutha fuka
it's just one of those days

It's all about the he sez she sez bullshit
I think you better quit lettin shit slip
or you'll be leavin with a fat lip
It's all about the he sez she sez bullshit
I think you better quit talkin that shit

It's just one of those days
feelin like a freight train
First one to proclaim leaves with the bloodstain
your damn right I'm a maniac
you better watch your back cos'
I'm fuckin your program(nice rhyming Fred)

and if you're stuck up
You just lucked up
next in line to get fucked up
Your best bet is to stay away mutha fuka
It's just one of those days

It's all about the he said she said bullshit.
I think you better quit lettin shit slip
Or you'll be leavin with a fat lip
It's all about the he said she said bullshit
I think you better quit talkin that shit, punk
So come and get it

I feel like shit...
My suggestion is to keep your distance
Cos right now I'm dangerous
We've all felt like shit
And been treated like shit
All those motherfuckers, they want to step up
I hope ya know
I pack a chainsaw
I'll skin your ass raw
And if my day keeps going this way
I just might break something tonight
Give me something to break
I pack a chainsaw
I'll skin your ass raw
And if my day keeps going this way
I just might break your fuckin' face tonight

Give me something to break
Just give me something to break
How 'bout your fuckin' face?

I hope you know I pack a chainsaw, WHAT?
I hope you know I pack a chainsaw, a mutherfuckin' chainsaw, what?
come and get it

It's all about the he said she said bullshit.
I think you better quit lettin shit slip
Or you'll be leavin with a fat lip
It's all about the he said she said bullshit
I think you better quit talkin that shit
So come and get it
Dood...
